Massachusetts may be ok with respect to health insurance coverage, but residents in other states are not.  Nearly everyone in Massachusetts is ALREADY insured, largely a result of 2006 state legislation.  It is understandable then that this population is not as concerned with any legislation that will provide health insurance coverage since THEY ALREADY HAVE COVERAGE!

The government should be, and is, focused on creating jobs and improving the economy, but this focus should not be to the detriment of other important priorities.   We should not lose this opportunity!

Sorry Henri, but the fat lady is singing right now on healthcare reform.  Sure, some people are in need of health insurance, but don't you think that if those people had decent jobs and could pay for insurance then they might choose to get it?

That's the whole point of what happened in Massachusetts yesterday, and recently in New Jersey and Virginia.  By most accounts, average people all over the country are fed up with the focus on this convoluted legislation.  It's time to focus on more pressing needs.  Our country was not built on the government being everything to everybody.  If you or anybody else wants that, then you are free to move to another country.  Why should I work hard, take care of my responsibilities, and also be obligated towards someone else's bills too?  In the spirit of community or nationalism?  No.  I do my fair share of assisting others, but I should not be penalized just because I have more than the next guy.  This applies to healthcare and other huge social policies being rushed through by the Obama administration.
