I am in a relationship with someone I like very much. I don't know if he is the "one" yet, but things seem to be heading down that path, although we aren't rushing things.

Well, the holidays are approaching, and I want him to bring him home to meet my family. My family knows I'm dating someone, but since I live in a different state, they haven't met my boyfriend yet.

Here is the problem: my boyfriend is of a different race, and I know my family will have an issue with it. I've always liked to think that my parents were open-minded and accepting, but I'm really worried what might happen once they know that my relationship is interracial. I don't want to alienate my boyfriend, and I don't want to lose my family either.

I know there are many interracial couples where I live, but not where I come from. What should I do?
